Scientific Name: Dosinia

There are thousands of species of Clams found around the world. The ones we get are approximately 3-4.4cm in diameter. Clams are a marine and estuarine species found in sand and silt along coastlines with moderate current flow. Quite flavourful, clams are salty and slightly fishy in taste. They’re soft, chewy and buttery. Add them to your chowder or eat them raw, steamed, boiled, baked or fried!
